GBLS serves low income families 而且 individuals (earning up to 125% of the poverty level, $33,125 for a family of 4 in 2021, or up to 200% in limited circumstances) in the 47 towns 而且 cities in Greater Boston listed below. Certain services may be available without income limits or less strict limits for elders, victims of crimes 而且 their survivors, persons with disabilities, 而且 in limited assistance clinics. In addition to our regular service area below, Middlesex 而且 Essex county residents seeking assistance with Medicare are also eligible without income restrictions. Applicants for services under the Civil Legal Aid for Victims of Crime (CLAVC) grant are not required to be income eligible.

GBLS attorneys 而且 paralegals can assist with many civil (non-criminal) legal problems. An attorney or paralegal may give you advice, assist you in completing forms in a clinic, or represent you in court.
